CatOps CopyOrdering cats for missions

Form Spaces workspace interface

CatOps is a concept product for requesting, matching, and tracking cats assigned to specific missions. The goal was to turn a playful and chaotic idea into a clear product flow: request, requirements, matching, approval, and mission tracking.

Overview

A simple request flow for an intentionally absurd product idea.

The project started as a playful concept, but I treated it as a real product problem. Users need to describe a mission, understand what kind of cat is required, compare recommendations, and track progress after assignment.

Challenge

Mission requests can quickly become unclear without structure.

The core challenge was to make the flow feel guided without turning it into a long boring form. The interface had to explain what information matters and how it affects the final cat recommendation.

Design decision 01

I split the request into small, understandable steps.

Instead of asking users to fill one large form, the request is organized around mission details, required behavior, timing, and review. This makes the product feel more intentional and reduces cognitive load.

Design decision 02

Cat matching needed to be explainable, not magical.

Each recommendation shows why a cat fits the mission: skills, temperament, availability, and previous mission experience. This makes the system more trustworthy and easier to compare.

Design decision 03

A mission is easier to understand when it becomes a timeline.

After a cat is selected, users need to know what happens next. The dashboard turns the operational process into visible stages: request created, cat matched, preparation, dispatch, and completion.

Visual system

The interface uses contrast between strict operations and playful content.

I kept the layout clean and almost utilitarian, while the content adds character. This balance helps the concept feel memorable without becoming a joke page.

Result

The concept became a clear product system, not just a funny interface.

The final structure explains how to create a request, compare cats, understand the recommendation, and track mission progress. It shows how product logic can make even an unusual scenario feel simple and usable.
